Y our child’s next birthday will be both educational and fun at Mission San Luis. Birthday parties feature a selection of activities and crafts and a guided tour in this unique historic setting.

$125 Friends members/ $150 Non-members.

Party includes:

  • 2-hour party
  • Up to 20 children and 10 adults ($5 fee for additional guests)
  • 2 Birthday Party Facilitators
  • Admission to Visitor Center and site
  • Reserved indoor (classroom) or outdoor (picnic tables) location
  • Decorated party location (streamers, tablecloths, etc.)
  • Tour and 2 activities specific to party theme
  • Special gift for the birthday child from El Mercado Museum Shop

    • Choose one of the following themes:

  • An Outdoor Occasion
    • Enjoy the natural beauty of Tallahassee and Mission San Luis. Learn about native plants and animals that live in Tallahassee on a nature walk and celebrate the outdoors with a selection of crafts.
  • An Apalachee Affair
    • Travel back in time to discover the crafts, games, and life ways of the Apalachee people who lived here 400 years ago.
  • A Spanish Celebration
    • Celebrate the Golden Age of Spain and learn about Spanish colonies in the New World.
  • A Pirate's Party
    • “X” marks the spot! Gather your pirate friends to play games and make pirate goodies.
  • An Archaeological Adventure
    • Welcome to the world of archaeology! Learn about the artifacts excavated at Mission San Luis and the techniques used to find them.

     

    Important Information

    • Site Hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please enjoy the grounds before and after your party!
    • Reservations may be made up to 6 months in advance and must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the party date.
    • A non-refundable deposit of $25 is due at the time of booking to guarantee the party date; the remainder of the payment is expected prior to or at the time of the event.
    • Make checks payable to Friends of Mission San Luis.
    • El Mercado has inexpensively priced goodie bags for your party guests. Pre-order your party favors and they will be available when you arrive.
    • Food, drinks and table settings are not included.
