All Camps start at 9:00 AM and end promptly at 4:30 PM.

Register for all five days and Friends members pay only $160; $180 for non-members. Camp day is 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Children must bring lunch and a snack. Enrollment fee includes a camp T-shirt and craft supplies.
March 29 through April 2 – Glitz and Glory: The Golden Age of Spain
Experience the rich culture of Spain during the 16th and 17th centuries through art, science, and history. Find out which Old World traditions were brought to the New World by explorers and colonists.

June 7 through 11 – Apalachee Adventures
Learn about the natural history and culture of the Apalachee people through the study of objects found by archaeologists. These Florida natives will be the inspiration for hands-on activities such as gardening, flint knapping, and archery.

June 14 through 18 – A Child's Life
Imagine you were born 350 years ago. What was life like for the young residents of the mission? Learn to dress, play, and live like a colonist through role-playing, studying site artifacts, and using period toys and games.

June 28 through July 2 – New World Apprentice

Ages 11–13 (entering grades 6-8)
July 5 through 9 – Junior Archaeology
Welcome to the fascinating world of archaeology! This introductory program will teach you to piece together the past through hands-on learning activities with Mission San Luis archaeologists.
Ages 8–10 (entering grades 3-5)
July 19 through 23 – Historical Archaeology
Dig into the past and learn the tools of the trade alongside professional archaeologists. Mapping, water screening, sorting, and artifact identification are just some of the skills you will enjoy learning.
Ages 11–13 (entering grades 6-8)
July 26 through 30 – Spaniards on the High Seas
Spend the week learning about the explorers, conquistadors, and merchants who traveled across oceans in search of new trade routes, unfamiliar lands, and riches. This is an adventure you don’t want to miss!
Ages 8–10 (entering grades 3-5)
August 9 through 13 – Colonial Survival
Journey across the Atlantic and form your own colony. Each day will bring triumphs alongside setbacks. Do you have what it takes to survive?
