Mission San Luis offers a wide range of educational programming for adults.  Our adult workshops provide the opportunity to learn about 17th century Spanish and Native American crafts and lifestyles while expressing your creativity. Participants will gain the skills needed to craft materials similar to those made by 17th century residents of Mission San Luis.

Workshops

1. Blacksmithing for Beginners
   Saturday, November 20
   Session 1- 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m.
   Session 2- 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
   Ages 13 and up
   Fee: $35 for Friends of Mission San Luis members, $40 for non-members.

   Join us at the Mission San Luis forge for an introduction to blacksmithing. Participants will learn to build and maintain a fire, use traditional tools, and create historic hardware. Spaces are very limited and are on a first-come-first-serve basis. Reservations for this workshop will not be taken via online form. Payment must be received no later than two weeks prior to the program.

Reservation form and payment must be received no later than two weeks prior to the program.  Please make checks out to the Friends of Mission San Luis (FOMSL).  These programs are sponsored by the Friends of Mission San Luis, a private, non-profit organization under the terms of Internal Revenue Service regulations (501-c3).

Refunds will be made if cancellations occur more than 14 days prior to programs.  The sponsor reserves the right to modify programs, change instructors, and cancel them for any reason.  In the event of cancellation, refunds will be offered.  The sponsor is not responsible for costs or damages incident to cancellation.
